Start with how the store will be used.

What are you selling, how often does the range change, and where does a customer need help? Those answers shape display, circulation and the space behind the scenes. The store should make products easy to find and staff support easy to reach.

Blucap has completed genuine retail design and execution work. Our retail portfolio and professional photography are currently limited. We are deliberately developing this practice through our commercial interiors, design and turnkey delivery capability.

What we plan together

A new store

Establish the product range, brand brief and operating requirements before fixing the layout. Display density, staff positions and stock access need to work as one plan.

An existing store

Identify what needs to improve: unclear circulation, displays that resist change, weak lighting or operations that interrupt customers. Renovation should solve the working brief, not simply replace finishes.

How the work proceeds

We begin with your operating brief, site condition and intended opening. Layout, materials and specialist interfaces develop into an agreed design and execution scope, with clear approval points.

  1. Discover

Understanding the brief, the site and how the space needs to work before the design begins.

  2. Design

Developing the space, materials and details with the way it will actually be used in mind.

  3. Build

Bringing the design to life through detailed execution, site supervision and close attention to every decision on site.

  4. Deliver

Completing a space that works as intended, with responsibility carried through to the finished result.

The opening programme starts with the brief.

Display joinery, signage, lighting, power and service access need to fit together. We coordinate these decisions with relevant specialists within the agreed scope before work reaches site.

Lead times, landlord requirements and client decisions shape the programme. We plan around the intended opening, making dependencies and turnkey responsibilities explicit rather than promising a date detached from the site.

Questions we are asked

Can you design and execute the store?

We can discuss a combined design and execution scope. The proposal defines specialist coordination, responsibilities, exclusions and the programme for your site.

Do you have a large retail portfolio?

No. We have genuine retail experience, but our portfolio is limited and much of it lacks professional photography. We will discuss that experience honestly rather than present unrelated work as retail proof.

Let’s discuss your retail interiors project.

Share the location, approximate area, product range, current site condition and intended opening date. These details give us a useful starting point.
